One of the papers that I proofread last week made me think about how sad it is that people think it is ok to abuse animals. You hear all the time about people getting charged for dog fighting or similar type abuse cases. The reason that i think there are so many repeat offenders is that the punishment is way to light. I believe if we increased the punishment it would stop some of the abuse that takes place. Another major problem with animal abuse is that a lot of city's do not even have animal enforement units. In these citys all the investigation is left up to the hume societies or the local police forces that are all ready under staffed how it is. Which takes longer for the abuse to be stopped especial in big cases, since they are not equipped to handle these cases. An have to get outside help in order to deal with them. These are just a couple of the problems with animal abuse if you would like to learn more go www.aspca.org

Blog for week 5
I believe that it is a real tragedy that the amount of animals that are endangered ,because of our actions. A lot of the animals that our endangered especially in Africa is due to our greed. The reason that I say this is the animals would not be poached if there was not a market for their hides. If people would not want the products that were made from these animals the hunting would never happen in the first place. If no one buy's these then they would no longer be a need to have them available. This is just one of the things that that man has done to these animals that were put on this earth for us to protect not destroy. If you want to learn more about reasons these animals are endangered go to www.worldwildlife.org

Today on the radio I heard a news story that concerns me it was a new policy that the Bellieve police department has started. They started to put up sign in peoples yards that they have arrested for drug charges. On these signs it states this is a drug house. I agree they need to do something about drug problem in our cities, but who gave the police the right to pass judgment before a trail even takes place. It is one thing to do something like this once a person was been convicted in a court of law for the crime., but to do something like this to some one that was just be arrested an not been convicted of anything yet is just not right. What concerns me is where does practices like this stop. Does it allow the police to put a sign in anyones yard that they believe is guilty of anything even if they have no proof.

This week I am going to talk about a very bad policy to S.I.U.E has for its math classes. They require that In the college algebra classes to take an retention exam that is worth ten percent of your grade an you must pass it with a seventy percent. during the first four week if you pass it you get hundred percent then it goes down from their until the seventh week an you get a zero on it if your do not pass it with a 70. the reason I believe it be an unfair policy first of all is I all ready passed those classes with an c. Second part is that you are allowed to takes as many times as you want ,but you are not allowed to see what problems that you got wrong. Which makes it hard very to know what to study for if you do not know what problem you got wrong. You are also required to keep up with all your other test in the class that is going on at the same time. Since they will not tell you which problem you got wrong I believe it is a way for them to fail an student that is barely passing an subject that is hard for them. An for the school to make more money, because then the student has to take the class over again. It makes it very hard for us that work full time an go to school full time to try to study for two math test at the same time an keep up with the rest of our classes.
