Week 15

This week I am going to talk about a very disrubing event I gheard about in the event. I think by now every one was heard about the oil spill which is happening. If these oil company can not have better planns to react when there is spills they have no business drilling in the oceans. after the last spill what at least twenty years ago and they still have not improved there responce plans. this one they talking about being a month before they even get the equitment in place to stop the leak in the mean time tousands of gallons of oil is leaking in to the ocean every day. Some one needs to stop these company's from drilling in the ocean reguardless what it does to the price of gas.

week 13

During my research visites to my site one thing that brothered me that I noticed is the fact that on the newer exhabits at the zoo that are not is popular do not tell an thing about the species other than the name. I hope this does not contiue it is ahame that some of the most active and fun to watch animals no one knows anthing about. Maybe alot of the people do not care about knowing anything about them, but there are still people that wish they had the same information as the older exhabits due. I beleve this is an ashame especial since the one purpose of the zoo is to educate. I wonder if other zoo's are doing the same thing. seem to me they are moving away from education people as much as they use to do in the past.

week 11

It amazes me how quickly someone will allow the negatives actions of someelse to interfer with the goals in our lives. I have see people break up because some one cheats on them an they are so torn up about it they can barely function that has happened to a friend of mine this week. To me the person was below my stardards to begain with. A person that cheats on someone is just a worthless human being any way, so why allow them to have power over you. You know that morally and in every other way that you are a much better person than they are any way so why wast you time worry about them. It is there lost not yours they just did you a favor at showing you how worthless they really are.

Week Ten blog

This week I heard a very interesting news story on the radio. An student in a state down south wanted to take a same sex date to the prom. Which was aganist the schools policy. When the girl tried to sue the school they just canceled the whole prom for everyone instead of giving into something they believed to be wrong. I think it is about time for schools to start doing what is morally right an not just what some in the society way want. If motre schools would keep to the moral values that this country was founded on, we would have less problems then we do sinve are values would be higher. Schools are one of the major places that are children learn moral val;ues, so they should not allow things to happen in schools functions that are morally wrong.

blog for week eight

Doing my research for my paper this week made me wonder why one of the most rarest of the animals in the worold is not found in most zoo in the United states. THe aimals is the lone Wolf of Africa their are only five hunred of them left. I wonder if the reason is that people still have such a dislike for wolf still as they did in the past. I know in some place in this country they have been hunted until they were completly wiped out. I wonder that because of past attitube that the reason that a lot of zoo's do not display them is a political reason. I hope that in the near future that their attitutes change before this wonderful creature is gone.

Week seven blog

This wek I have very intresting topic to talk about. Today one of my instructors annouced in my class that the reason that he has been not getting are workwork assignments an test back was, because he has been ocupied with not getting tenure. He told us he was not been motivated to get them graded an that his first concern was to find an other job an that his classes were his second conern. What right does an instructor have to bring his personal problem to the class. Reguardless if he is going to be there next year he still has a job to do. An to me it seem that he does not care about teaching what he is being payed to do. This was A real shock to class since you would figure some one holding an phd would have better ethical standards than that. You would think that instructors at the university level would be more concered about the jobs they were doing than that.

Week Six Blog

One of the papers that I proofread last week made me think about how sad it is that people think it is ok to abuse animals. You hear all the time about people getting charged for dog fighting or similar type abuse cases. The reason that i think there are so many repeat offenders is that the punishment is way to light. I believe if we increased the punishment it would stop some of the abuse that takes place. Another major problem with animal abuse is that a lot of city's do not even have animal enforement units. In these citys all the investigation is left up to the hume societies or the local police forces that are all ready under staffed how it is. Which takes longer for the abuse to be stopped especial in big cases, since they are not equipped to handle these cases. An have to get outside help in order to deal with them.
